In these tough economic times, hardships are being felt
everywhere. Locally, the Nauset Regional High School’s school
budget for athletics was severely cut. In response to that
deficit, the Eastham Police Union coordinated with the Nauset
Warriors Boosters Club in an effort to come up with ways to
fundraise.
On Wed, May 6, a Fish Fry was held at Captain Elmer’s Restaurant
in Orleans to raise money for Nauset Regional Athletics.
Members of the Booster Club and Eastham Police Union assisted in
taking orders, prepping and serving food. All profits in the
amount of $7,500, were given to the Nauset High School Athletics
on June 11, in a presentation at NRHS.
The Eastham Police Union is both proud and honored to have been
able to participate in this event. It was fun and rewarding to
work with members of the community. Thank you to all those who
took part in this evening! We look forward to future
opportunities to assist and raise money for other important
community activities, and encourage people to contact us if you
need assistance. Thank you!
